How to solve issues related to installing games created using the asset flip editor
Issues
After selecting a system to install my asset flip on, the asset flip does not appear in the system's menu.
There may be several causes for such an issue, so here are some things you can try out to solve the problem yourself:
- Give the system time to install the desired asset flip. For most asset flips, this usually shouldn't take long. Howeveer, the duration of the installation process will scale based on the file size of your customized assets and internet speed.
- If waiting a couple minutes doesn't solve the issue, try rebooting the system. On the pick game section of the admin page, select the "Settings" category at the top, then choose the "Reboot" option. Wait for the system to restart, then wait a couple minutes to see if this changed anything.
- Ensure that your asset flip is in a visible folder on your system. By default, the asset flip will only be in the same pre-set folder* as the original game you customized.
If this pre-set folder is not enabled, you will have to make the folder visible, or add the asset flip to a visible custom folder for the asset flip to show up in your system's menu.
*Pre-set folders refer to folders such as "games", "training", or "education", whose contents can not be customized.
After making changes to an asset flip, the changes do not appear on my system.
This issue is typically the result of networking issues. If nothing seems to have changed after a couple minutes, try rebooting the system to see if that changes anything. Open the pick game section on the admin page, select the "Settings" category at the top, then choose the "Reboot" option. Wait for the system to restart, then wait a couple minutes to see if this changed anything.
