Network Settings
As a smart device, your system requires a working internet connection.
Please open your network ports once or connect an additional hot spot if your system updates keep staying other than green, like shown here on the health page
We recently changed our updating structure to provide better availability which makes no special ports necessary anymore. Therefore you only have to update one last time by opening ports and from then on will be able to receive updates without any problems. We will now also slowly stop supporting old software and will not maintain backward compatibility on new software deploys. That means that you will experience not the full functionality or even problems if you are not doing this last update that is needed for compatibility.
If you can't or don't want to open additional ports, it might be an option for you to one time connect a smartphone via USB to the computer and provide internet this way for the updates.
More details on the solution you can find here: https://help.lymb.io/share-internet
The system establishes an outbound connection to our servers. This connection serves various purposes, including controlling the system with the admin platform, communication with the ranking system, enabling us to provide remote support and perform necessary updates when required.
DHCP Settings
Your network has to be configured to automatically assign an IPv4 address to your device (DHCP). Assigning a static IP on the machine directly by yourself, our partners or LYMB.iO is unfortunately not possible.
Firewall Settings
Besides the physical connection to the internet, it's essential to have the required ports open for outbound connections and allow access to a set of domains.
The client's security impact is minimal as long as these ports remain closed for inbound traffic and other devices.
Ports & Domains
Please tell your IT department to open the following ports for normal usage, including software updates (these are open usually anyways as they are pretty standard):
Port | Type | Direction | Destination | Service |
53 | UDP TCP |
outbound | 8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4 |
DNS |
123 | UDP TCP |

HTTP |
443 | TCP | outbound | *.multiball-admin.net *.courtadmin.net *.lymb-admin.net *.s3.amazonaws.com *.ubuntu.com |

The following additional ports we recommend to be usable in case for service access is needed when you encounter problems and need remote help from us:
Port | Type | Direction | Destination | Service |
22 | TCP | outbound | git.funwithballs.com (3.123.122.203) tunnel.courtadmin.net (3.64.218.58) |

1194 | UDP | outbound | vpn.courtadmin.net (52.59.113.67) | VPN |
MAC Address
Your IT department may need the system's MAC address before they can allow the system any internet access. You will find the addresses of both ports in your admin page under Systems > [ Open dashboard ] > Settings > Network
WiFi
Neither MultiBall nor interactiveSQUASH includes a wireless network adapter. However, you can still connect them to WiFi using a separate LAN to WiFi device (such as a bridge or repeater with a LAN port). Place the device near your MultiBall or interactiveSQUASH and connect your system to it using a LAN cable.
Please note that this device is not included and must be purchased separately by the customer. Your local network specialist can assist you with setting this up.
Internet Speed and Traffic Limits
To ensure your system updates quickly and reliably, we recommend having a minimum download speed of 20 Mbps and a minimum upload speed of 5 Mbps. It's also advisable to opt for an unlimited contract to avoid traffic limits.
